Listed companies

860 companies listed on 33 African exchanges covered so far. Listings and company identity come from the exchanges' official lists and issuer pages; audited annual figures are published for 691 of them. Not complete coverage: several exchanges, including the largest, are not yet covered.

What is and isn't covered

Companies with equity listed on an African exchange, including REITs and listed investment companies (SPACs are labelled). Funds, ETFs, bonds and over-the-counter lines are not companies here and are not counted. Each company appears once; a listing on another exchange is shown with it where the link between the two listings is established.

169 entries are identity only: their financial statements have not yet been collected or are not yet available on this site. That says nothing about whether the company itself reports figures.

Country of incorporation is shown only where an official source states it (148 companies: not established). It is never inferred from the exchange. Companies are listed alphabetically and are not ranked.
